Yogesh Raut returns to try for victory in the 2025 ‘Jeopardy Masters’ primetime tournament

Since first appearing on “Jeopardy!” in 2023, Yogesh Raut has been a familiar figure on the show, competing in the syndicated version, winning the 2024 “Tournament of Champions,” and finishing in second place — behind winner Victoria Groce — in the 2024 “Jeopardy Masters” event.

So, it’s not too surprising that Raut, an expert quizzer and podcaster who lives in Vancouver, will be back to make another run for the “Jeopardy Masters” victory.

Ken Jennings will host the third annual “Jeopardy Masters” tournament, which begins Wednesday, April 30, on ABC. According to ABC, the 2025 “Jeopardy Masters” will feature an expanded lineup of the top-ranked current “Jeopardy!” contestants, who will compete in two games in each hour-long episode. The ultimate winner will earn the grand prize of $500,000.

Contestants will include 2024 champion Groce, returning finalist Raut, 2025 “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions winner Neilesh Vinjamuri, TOC finalists Adriana Harmeyer and Isaac Hirsch, 2025 “Jeopardy!” Invitational Tournament champion Matt Amodio, and JIT finalists Roger Craig and Juveria Zaheer.

The 2025 event will also see the return of Brad Rutter, one of the biggest winners in the history of the game, and who was last seen competing in 2020’s “Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time” showdown.

The 2025 “Jeopardy Masters” tournament begins at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, on ABC. It can also be streamed on platforms including Fubo, which offers a free trial.
