This month, Heights Taco & Tamale Co. is raising a toast to 10 flavorful years of serving up Southern hospitality and “Ark-Mex” flavor to The Heights neighborhood in Little Rock.
The local favorite will celebrate its anniversary with a weeklong celebration from May 19–25 featuring daily giveaways, a limited-edition cocktail, new menu items and a community give-back day supporting the Arkansas Foodbank.
In preparation for the festivities, the restaurant temporarily closed for three weeks in April to undergo a major renovation. The refreshed space now boasts a warmer, more energetic look while preserving the vibrant atmosphere customers have come to love.
“Ten years ago, we set out to create a place where folks could kick back with a great meal, a cold drink and their favorite people in a fun atmosphere with Southern hospitality,” says Amber Brewer, chief marketing officer of Heights Taco’s parent company Yellow Rocket Concepts. “The major renovation, these new menu additions and our birthday celebrations are all a recommitment to that mission and to the Arkansas community that has supported us every step of the way.”
The celebration will feature:
- Daily giveaways of Heights Taco & Tamale Co. swag and a chance to win free catering for 10 people
- Special-edition frozen mojitos featuring Arkansas-grown strawberries
- A Give-Back Day on Tuesday, May 20, where 10% of all sales will be donated to the Arkansas Foodbank
New menu items unveiled were inspired by guest feedback including new entrées, sides, appetizers, desserts and house-made salsas.
Still proudly locally owned and operated, Heights Taco & Tamale Co. is using the milestone as a springboard into the next decade of community connection and culinary creativity.
Restaurant hours are Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. For more information, follow Heights Taco & Tamale Co. on Facebook and Instagram.
