A man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead Thursday night while incarcerated at the Adams County Detention Facility, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies noticed the man appeared to be foaming at the mouth at about 10:43 p.m. during a twice-hourly security check, the office said in a news release Friday.
Emergency medical personnel tried to revive the man for about 30 minutes before he was declared dead.
Deputies said the man had been at the jail since Wednesday. He will be identified and the cause and manner of his death released by the Office of the Coroner of Adams & Broomfield Counties.
