Military police have a person in custody after a shooting today at a Wahiawa Annex of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, the JBPHH said in a brief post on social media.
The post said that the shooting occurred in a remote area, and that there is currently no threat to the base population.
Base security forces placed the suspect in custody.
A public affairs officer said more information should be forthcoming, but could not provide any further information at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Honolulu police also responded to a shooting at 5:40 p.m. at the Naval Computer & Telecom Area in Wahiawa.
