Nearly 150 flights were delayed Thursday at Denver International Airport after another morning of “low visibility” prompted a ground delay, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The ground delay started before 8 a.m. Thursday and lifted shortly after 9 a.m., according to the federal agency. It delayed flights by an average of 40 minutes to an hour.
As of 9:20 a.m., 145 flights headed in and out of DIA had been delayed and two had been canceled two, according to flight tracking software FlightAware.
Southwest delayed 67 flights, followed by 36 from United and 27 from SkyWest, a regional airline that operates United Express. Eight other airlines delayed between one and five flights.
British Airways canceled both flights on Thursday — one headed from Denver to London and one making the return trip.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
