Damien Robinson propelled the Eagles with 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds and four steals. They were facing the Lions from Springfield in Northern Virginia. Rashad Shaw had 18 points, three assists and four steals, Chase Johnson had 14 points, Jeremiah Fajota had nine points, Josiah Law had eight points and five rebounds, and Alan Walker provided six rebounds and four blocks.
#7 Catholic 80, Kecoughtan 48
Game MVP Carter Bullock had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists to help the Crusaders (4-0) win at the MABC Showcase at Atlantic Shores. Dean Williams had 15 points and six rebounds, Jonathan Lee scored 14 and Tabren Hawkins had nine points and five rebounds for Catholic. The Warriors dropped to 1-3 despite Jordan Franklin’s 21 points.

Tyson Harper scored 27 points, Melvin Wofford Jr. 16 and Dykota White Jr. 15 for the Bulldogs.

NaMarqus Byrd sparked the Cavaliers with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals. Eziah Goodson added 19 points (helped by 9-of-12 free-throw shooting), six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Nico Mclntyre had 19 points, five rebounds, two steals and three assists.
#13 Peninsula Catholic 83, Richmond Spirit WarHawks 76
Playing at home in the Pop Pitts Classic, the Knights won behind senior guard Jordan Carr’s 24 points. Anderson Allen (23), Kyrei Haywood (14) and Gavin Crawford (10) joined him in double digits. The WarHawks’ Zach Martin led all scorers with 33 points.
#14 Warhill 63, Bayside 47
Caden Cherry’s 21 points and Shamar McCray’s 13 points and eight rebounds led the Lions (4-0) past the Marlins (0-4) at the Matoaca Invitational. Jaydin McLean added 13 points and seven rebounds for Warhill, which moved ahead 17-9 in the first quarter and stayed on top.

Noah Eddy and Justin Jones scored 18 points apiece for the Seahawks, while DJ Gayden added 12. For the Cavaliers, Antonio Harrell and Sean Durham had 13 points apiece.

Terrell Lewis’ 18 points and six rebounds and DaMari Adams’ 16 points and eight rebounds paced the SunDevils. Jason Patrick had 12 points, Reggie Wilson 11 and Haziyah Brown nine.

TaNya Henson had seven points, 16 rebounds and eight blocks as the Monarchs won against a team from Charlotte. JaiDen Rhodes had 17 points and six rebounds, and Maddie Leach added 14 points and six assists.
#5 King’s Fork 52, Southeast Raleigh (North Carolina) 24
Kenzie Cooper’s 18 points and Rylie Hite’s 16 guided the Bulldogs at the She Got Game Classic in the D.C. area. Hite had four rebounds, three assists and two steals, and Cooper grabbed six rebounds.
#7 Manor 47, Hayfield 46
The Mustangs edged a Northern Virginia foe at the She Got Game Classic behind Jha’Ziya Babb (19 points, eight rebounds, eight steals, three assists), Ca’Asia Brown (13 points, 10 rebounds, six steals, three assists) and McKenzie Gatling (12 points, 10 rebounds). Eva Phillips paced the Hawks with 17 points.

Katherine Wenger scored 29 points and Taylor Ragland 25 for the Clippers. For the Islanders, Alyssa Laney netted 10.

#1 Grassfield 56, Union Pines (North Carolina) 15
The Grizzlies won one of the marquee dual matches of the season, a clash of defending state champions ranked No. 1 among all classifications in their states. Brady Greene (8-5 decision at 157 pounds) and Nate Moore (7-2 at 175) were among the Grizzlies’ key victors in the “Super Dual” at Roanoke College. Simeon Barrett (144), Nick Moore (165), Colton Jones (190), Chase Burns (215), Chris Funches (285), Leland Mendez (120), Dennis Bruin (126) and Luca Schinelli (132) won on the mat, and Nolan Mather (106) prevailed by forfeit.
King of Beast tournament
Grassfield’s B team won the King of Beast tournament at Tallwood, where Grizzlies 150-pounder Romeo Mejia was named the Outstanding Wrestler.

Colon E. Baker Elite Classic
Great Bridge won the tournament on its home mats in Chesapeake with 257 points. New Bern (205) of North Carolina and Poquoson (203) were second and third, respectively.
Poquoson’s Jared Goodson was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler. Great Bridge’s Cayden Clark, Tke Egley, Xavier Kovacs and Ayden Christian won championships at their weight classes.
