‘Tis officially the season.
Peacock Lane, a Portland Christmas light display running since 1932, opens to the public after sundown on Monday, kicking off two weeks of holiday cheer on the Southeast Portland block.
The light show is open nightly from Dec. 15 – Dec. 31 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The lights on Peacock Lane are usually seen by car, though organizers typically shut down the street for two nights each year to allow pedestrians to take over the block. This year, the pedestrian-only nights will fall over a weekend on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20.
The annual Peacock Lane display is one of many light shows brightening up the holidays this year — here are some others to check out around Oregon.
