Honolulu police today arrested a 32-year-old man for the alleged kidnapping of a 34-year-old woman in Kailua.
At about 10:30 a.m. today, officers responded to a domestic incident, according to a news release.
Police said the woman was allegedly assaulted while attempting to leave a residence in Kailua, and that the suspect used physical force to prevent her from leaving, causing injuries.
The victim managed to escape and called police. She was treated for her injuries at a hospital.
