Aaron Rodgers has ghosted a ‘good’ friend: ‘Screw him’

No one seems to know what Aaron Rodgers’ future holds, not even those who are presumably closer with the four-time NFL MVP.

Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer, who says he considered Rodgers a friend, said he hasn’t really heard from the Steelers quarterback this offseason. While speaking on Yahoo Sports Daily, the topic of Rodgers’ potential looming retirement came up.

“I train with Aaron in the offseason,” he said. “I still can’t tell you how he’ll be on a Monday or a Tuesday. You never know.

“Like I thought we were real good friends and all that stuff. I think he called me back once this whole offseason, so screw him.”

After Pittsburgh’s wild-card playoff loss to the Texans last month, Rodgers declined to share if that would be the last game of his playing career.

Rodgers played for the Steelers this season on a one-year, $13.65 million deal. He said shortly after joining the Steelers that he didn’t anticipate playing past 2025.

“I’m pretty sure this is it,” he said on “The Pat McAfee Show” in June. “That’s why we just did a one-year deal. Steelers didn’t need to put any extra years on it.”
