Boys basketball
Long Reach 79, Wilde Lake 60: The Lightning (8-10) scored a season-high in the win. Josh Hurd led the charge with 27 points. Lamar Atkinson added 21 points, while Daniel Best contributed 20.
Reservoir 59, Atholton 52: The Gators (7-10) earned a big rivalry win on Senior Night and won their second game in a row. Kai Lewis played a strong all-around game with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Jacob Benjamin Ross added 11 points. For Atholton (10-6), Isaiah Johnson scored 21 points.
Girls basketball
Reservoir 66, Atholton 36: The Gators (12-4) continued to roll and won their fourth straight. Chloe Teresa Nguena led the charge with 20 points as Blythe Pietryka added 13 points and Leah Lauer chipped in 11.
River Hill 51, Hammond 36: The Hawks (5-10, 2-6 Summit Division) put out one of their best offensive outputs of the season. Gabby Shane finished with 18 points as Olivia Creighton wasn’t far behind with 17.
Long Reach 71, Guilford Park 59 (From Saturday): The Lightning (6-12) outlasted the Panthers in a high-scoring affair. Kelsey Robinson (18 points, 13 rebounds) and Haley Ruddy (12 points, 20 rebounds) keyed the win.
