The grip, rip and dip is coming to Henderson.
PopUp Bagels, known for its fresh palm-size bagels that are ripped into pieces, then dredged in schmears, is setting up shop on East Cactus Avenue, according to a recent Instagram post. The viral boutique bagelry has expanded to 30 locations across 10 states and Washington, D.C. since its founding in 2020 in the backyard of a Connecticut suburb of New York City.
The rip-and-dip style sets PopUp Bagels apart from many other shops that slice bagels for toasting or use in bagel sandwiches. PopUp offers bagels in classic silhouettes like plain, sesame, salt, poppy seed and everything. Schmears range from traditional cream cheese, scallion cream cheese and salted butter to more distinctive cuts like Guinness chocolate cake cream cheese, pesto butter and cinnamon sugar butter.
Stores offer scheduled pickup and delivery, as well as walk-in service. The new PopUp Bagels will be at 1685 E. Cactus Ave., near Seven Hills Drive, in Henderson. A representative for the company could not provide a timeline to opening. Visit popupbagels.com or follow @popupbagels.
