Fight, stabbing at West Jordan High School sends 1 to hospital, 1 to police custody

Another student is in police custody.

(West Jordan High School) One student was hospitalized and another was taken to police custody at West Jordan High School.

West Jordan • Police believe two students got into a fight Wednesday at West Jordan High School, with one sent to the hospital and the other taken into custody.

The West Jordan Police Department said it received a call about a possible stabbing, which happened during a fight in the school’s parking lot. One young woman was taken to the hospital with injuries consistent with a stabbing; she is listed in stable condition with minor injuries.

The other young woman was taken into custody after the fight, police said.

Police said both of the young women involved in the fight appeared to be students.
