BRUNSWICK – Penelope (Hall) Merrill Tompkins, 89, of Freeport and Brunswick, passed away March 24, 2026. She was a home economics teacher and later worked at L.L. Bean. A talented seamstress and baker, she created wedding dresses, wedding cakes, and handmade dolls for her family. She will be remembered for her poised and classy demeanor, her grace and quiet strength, and was deeply loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held from 3-5 p.m., on March 29, 2026, and from 10-11 a.m., on March 30, 2026 at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m.
