A 23-year-old woman was arrested today on suspicion of stabbing her 46-year-old boyfriend to death in Makiki, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
The 46-year-old was found unresponsive with multiple stab wounds Friday morning behind a Makiki town house by HPD patrol officers.
According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, paramedics were called at about 5:14 a.m. and co-responded with police.
The man had multiple stab wounds and was declared dead on arrival.
“During the course of the investigation, Homicide and Strategic Enforcement Detail detectives learned that the 46-year-old male victim was involved in an argument with his 23-year-old girlfriend. The argument escalated, and the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times, resulting in fatal injuries,” read a statement from police.
At about 5:05 p.m. today District 1 Crime Reduction Unit officers located and arrested the woman on suspicion of murder in the second degree.

Charges will be sought with the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney,police said.
