Vote by mail ballots begin mailing in Union County

Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi has announced that vote by mail ballots for the upcoming primary election will start being mailed out today. The ballots will be sent on a rolling, town-by-town basis in alphabetical order to all voters on the permanent vote by mail list.

The mailing process is expected to be completed around April 25. Voters should keep an eye out for a bright yellow oversized envelope, which will contain their official primary election ballot. The distinctive yellow color is intended to make it easy for voters to identify and find their ballot when it is delivered.

For those who wish to apply for a vote by mail ballot, the process involves going to www.unioncountyvotes.com, clicking on “How to Vote by Mail,” requesting an application, completing it, and mailing it to the County Clerk’s office.
