Emma Cifelli drove in three runs with a pair of triples as second-seeded DePaul rolled to a 12-0 victory over seventh-seeded Lakeland in the Passaic County Tournament quarterfinals in Wayne.
The Spartans (11-4) wasted no time asserting their dominance, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding three more in the second to build a comfortable 6-0 lead. DePaul then exploded for six runs in the fourth inning.
Abby Kiem had an excellent day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored while also stealing a base. Jenna Regan collected three singles in three at-bats and scored twice.
Taylor Levedag contributed to the offensive onslaught with two singles, two RBIs and two runs scored, while also stealing a base. Kaelyn Brown added a single and drove in two runs.
