Former Alabama A&M wide receiver on the move in United Football League trade

Former Alabama A&M wide receiver Dee Anderson has changed teams in a United Football League trade. The Memphis Showboats have sent Anderson to the San Antonio Brahmas for cornerback Darius Phillips.

Anderson has 15 receptions for 182 yards and one touchdown in five games this season with the Showboats. In Memphis’ past two games, Anderson has nine receptions for 140 yards and one touchdown – a 78-yard score in a 24-20 overtime victory against the Birmingham Stallions on April 25. Anderson caught the 2-point pass in overtime that clinched the Showboats’ only victory of the season.

But Anderson isn’t moving up in the UFL standings via the trade. San Antonio also has a 1-5 record in 2025.

The Brahmas play the DC Defenders at 7 p.m. CDT Friday.
