What to expect from this week’s new episode
This week, the contestants’ swimming skill will be tested for the first time this season, and to keep things interesting, an added element is taking center stage during the challenge leading some veterans to second guess their next moves.
Meanwhile, one player’s game is at risk, and unfortunately for them, their partner’s competitiveness rears its ugly head during the challenge and further complicates their fragile partnership.
Previous episode recap
Last week’s episode showcased many developments, but none were as interesting as the dramatic elimination which followed a challenge that included both endurance and wit. In the end, Blue was eliminated from the game.
In addition to the grueling challenge, the episode also captured alliances already forming, and the problems they potentially pose for the future. One of the most notable alliances includes four rookies who call themselves “Jungle Man and the Janes,” and includes Yeremi, Dee, Leka and Sydney.
Though Dee might have secured her a dominating spot in the fearsome alliance, she also had to dodge verbal spars and unwanted attention after Will revealed to the rest of the contestants that the two had previously hooked up.
To get back at Will for announcing their brief moment, Dee began flirting with the fan-favorite veteran Bananas, leading Will to have an explosive and destructive reaction.
To cap off an already dramatic episode, it was announced to the remaining contestants that the upcoming episode would include a partner switch, meaning only more challenges await them.
