Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland/Oxford Hills regains the top spot in the Varsity Maine girls hockey poll thanks to a five-game winning streak that includes Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Yarmouth/Freeport, which was ranked first in the previous poll.

The same five teams are ranked this week, but the Edward Little co-op and Yarmouth/Freeport swapped spots, and Cheverus and Biddeford did the same at Nos. 3 and 4.

Edward Little, Yarmouth/Freeport, Cheverus and Biddeford have been ranked in all three polls this winter. The Red Hornets were No. 1 in the season’s first poll.

The Varsity Maine girls hockey poll is based on games played before Jan. 6, 2026. The top 10 teams are voted on by the Varsity Maine staff, with first-place votes in parentheses, followed by total points.

2. Yarmouth/Freeport (3) 39
3. Cheverus co-op 27
