Man, 42, allegedly stabbed at Ala Moana after altercation

Police are investigating an alleged assault at Ala Moana Beach Park that sent a 42-year-old man to the hospital Sunday morning with a stab wound.

Officers responded to the call at about 12:25 a.m. Sunday at Ala Moana.

The 42-year-old man was reportedly at the park with his girlfriend when they were confronted by another man known to the girlfriend.

The suspect allegedly claimed the woman was his girlfriend, which led to a physical altercation. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with an unknown object.

EMS responded to the scene, treated the patient’s wound, and took him to an emergency room in serious condition.

Police said the suspect has not been identified at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
