The 98th Annual Academy Awards (aka the Oscars) ceremony will take place Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m. eastern (6 p.m. central) on ABC.

Who is hosting the Oscars?
Conan O’Brien will return as host after emceeing the event for the first time in 2025. The Emmy-winning host and podcast star drew rave reviews last year. He’s best known for his time hosting “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on NBC, “Conan” on TBS and his current podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend.”
Which films will be nominated this year?
Experts predict “Sinners” and “One Battle After Another” to score the highest number of nominations on Thursday, with each expected to collect noms for best picture, director, screenplay and more. Both films are currently streaming on HBO Max.
Other contenders for best picture include “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” “Frankenstein” and “The Secret Agent.”
Stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothee Chalamet and Wagner Moura will likely compete for best actor, while A-listers like Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne and Emma Stone will face off for best actress.
In the supporting actor category, expect to hear names like Jacob Elordi, Benicio Del Toro and Stellan Skarsgård, while the best supporting actress field should include Teyana Taylor, Amy Madigan and Ariana Grande.

Through Disney+, subscribers can access movies, series and originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more. Subscribers can also tailor their content specific to them by exploring the available bundles which include other streaming services Hulu and ESPN+.
