A Chinese restaurant that has been serving customers for nearly 25 years in Trussville is aiming to reopen next month.
The Palace Chinese Restaurant closed last April after almost a quarter century, with its owners saying they hoped to relocate.
In August, the owners announced they had found a new location at 5978 Chalkville Mountain Rd., next to Ollie’s.
The restaurant was formerly located at 5899 Trussville Crossings Pkwy. and first opened on Friday, July 7, 2000.
Earlier this month, the restaurant, in a social media post, said the delays in reopening were due to “renovations and bringing the space up to current code.
“We’re optimistic about opening toward the end of February, pending inspections,” the restaurant announced. “Thank you for your patience and continued support—we can’t wait to welcome you soon.”
