Thea Foundation is kicking off its 2026 Art Department series with the return of Joshua Asante on Thursday, Feb. 5.
The Little Rock multidisciplinary artist, who was last featured in the series in 2018, will showcase his exhibition “Echoes From Here” at the quarterly event. Described as a collection of large, mixed-media pieces, Asante’s work explores why “reluctance to engage so called others is/as reluctance to be present with this projection of imagined self/individuated life force.”

The opening reception will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. at the nonprofit’s Argenta space and will include eats and drinks from Heritage Catering.
The exhibit runs through the end of the month. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Thursday or by appointment.
