A 70-year-old man suffered a head injury and was taken to an emergency room in serious condition after being hit by a larger boat while on a small inflatable vessel near the Ala Wai Boat Harbor today.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services co-responded to the incident, which occurred at about 7 a.m. The man was on a small inflatable boat when he was reportedly struck by a larger boat.
The patient lost his balance and hit his head, suffering a head injury. EMS treated and transported the 70-year-old man and continued treatment while en route to a trauma center, EMS stated.
