Boys basketball
Mt. Hebron 67, Reservoir 54: The Vikings (9-6, 4-2 Summit Division) won their third straight game in a balanced effort. Noel Igwe led the charge with 19 points including 11 in the fourth quarter. Nick Etienne added 14 points, including four 3-pointers as nine different Vikings scored. For Reservoir (5-10, 2-5 Summit), Jayden Jackson scored 13 points while Canaan Chance added 11.
Marriotts Ridge 60, Hammond 51: The Mustangs (13-1, 7-0 Summit Division) kept pace and control their destiny for a county championship berth. Blake Willingham dominated with a season-high 30 points, while Josh Okon and George Klaus each scored 10. For Hammond (10-7, 3-3 Summit), Joshua Terry scored 20 points, while Jacob Hill had 15.
Girls basketball
Reservoir 44, Mt. Hebron 37: The Gators (10-4, 6-1 Summit Division) swept the season series with the Vikings. Sam Feher flourished with 21 points to lead the way. For Mt. Hebron (8-5, 3-4 Summit), Pearl Prasartkarnka scored 13 points.
Glenelg 50, Long Reach 43: The Gladiators (12-3, 4-1 Sierra Division) won their fifth straight contest. Stephanie Bunker spearheaded the offense with 17 points as MJ Dabiri chipped in 13. For Long Reach (5-11, 1-6 Sierra), Jaiden Bryant finished with 18 points and seven steals, while Sydney Nance had 15 points and seven rebounds.
Marriotts Ridge 49, Hammond 32: The Mustangs (9-6, 4-2 Summit Division) defense excelled in the win. Katie Leader led the offense with 14 points and was a force defensively with six steals. Hayden Baumgartner also played an important role defensively with five steals as Katie Moraz (seven rebounds) and Vestina Davidonyte (six rebounds) anchored the glass.
