The Portland area is packed with pumpkin patches to satisfy all your seasonal fantasies. Make a day out of pumpkin picking with hayrides, corn mazes (both haunted and not) and fresh apple cider. All variety of visitors will be immediately swept up in that autumnal feeling at these friendly farms.
After plucking your future jack-o-lanterns from the fields, select a few more to load into the pumpkin cannon.
Pumpkin Patches in Portland
Bella Organic Pumpkin Patch & Winery
Northwest of downtown Portland, Sauvie Island’s Bella Organic Pumpkin Patch & Winery is packed with fall fun, including free hayrides to a seasonal 7-acre (3-hectare) corn maze that’s haunted by ghoulish figures on weekend evenings. This picturesque patch also offers an organic food market, freshly stocked farm store, Bella Organic wines and hard cider, caramel corn and Hopworks brews.
Fazio Farms
At Fazio Farms, a 5-acre (.8-hectare) corn maze in Northeast Portland, choose from a variety of conveniently pre-picked local pumpkins from late September through October 31. Kiddos can make their way through Hayland, where bales form an easily navigable labyrinth, before taking a turn on the bouncy slide and trying their luck at the bean bag toss.
Plumper Farms
Family-owned Plumper Farms sits on 65 acres (26 hectares) of undulating Northwest Portland hills with striking views of the Willamette River. After plucking your future jack-o-lanterns from the fields, select a few more to load into the pumpkin cannon, which blasts the gourds up to 400 feet (122 m).

Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkins have been the specialty at Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch for more than four decades. Families can explore the barn filled with farm animals and tour the whole farm on the famous cow train before stopping off to buy pickles, jams and other tasty homemade gifts at the farm-fresh market. Hop on the hayride to pick pumpkins straight from the soil.
Topaz Farm
Topaz Farm on Sauvie Island offers bountiful autumn delights all October long. Patrons stay toasty and sated while foraging for pumpkins and wandering the corn maze with caramel apples and steaming cups of cider. Weekend admission is limited to keep crowd size manageable, so be sure to purchase tickets in advance.
Pumpkins Patches Near Portland
Roloff Farms
Make pumpkin season count at Hillsboro’s Roloff Farms home to acres of gourds and TLC’s “Little People, Big World.” A treasure trove of agritainment options delight visitors of all ages, including a spooky forest trail walk, duck races and story time. Mosey out to the farmstead to get in on the fun while it’s fresh.
Lee Farms
Four generations currently maintain the Tualatin family farm Lee Farms which proudly offers a dozen pumpkin varieties alongside less conventional fall activities such as a giant slide and a “bounce pillow.” Visitors can meet adorable piglets and bunnies at the petting zoo and snack on fresh pumpkin donuts at the Cowboy Cafe.
Fir Point Farms
A quick drive 30 minutes south of Portland finds the Fir Point Farms Harvest Festival, where you can pick pumpkins, pet the farm animals and then visit the corn maze or take a nature walk in the surrounding forest. This working farm and bakery — with apple cider donuts — will keep you busy and well-fed.
The Flower Farmer
Take a ride on the Boo Train at the Phoenix and Holly RR at Flower Farmer in Canby to find your perfect pumpkin. Just outside this quaint town 30 minutes south of Portland, come join the fun with local treats, a farm store (with fresh-cut seasonal flowers), and a hay maze.
Frog Pond Farm
In Wilsonville, Frog Pond Farm charms with 10 acres (4 hectares) of fall activities from late September to the end of October. There are bounce houses for kids and adults, and visitors can meet and feed over 80 animals including including camels, emus, goats and llamas.
The Corn Maize on Sauvie Island
The Corn Maize, located on Sauvie Island north of Portland, offers visitors eight acres of physical and mental challenges in a cornfield.
