A crowd of 1,863 saw the Bulldogs solve Zacary Tenn, the sixth of UH’s seven pitchers, to unlock a 2-all tie.

Right fielder Noah Meffert had three hits, including a run-scoring double, to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead.

Landon Hood pitched the final 6 1/3 innings to earn the victory. Hood, a freshman, has experience in extended outings. He pitched 17 complete games as a Canyon View (Ariz.) High senior in 2025.

In his college debut, freshman starter Brody Martin-Grudzielanek pitched four innings, allowing one earned run, for the Rainbow Warriors.

Two first-year ’Bows, designated hitter Evan Rolbiecki and catcher Jake Redding, each had two hits.
