This Strip steak is heading east.
Carversteak in Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip is opening an outpost in the Big Apple, at 305 W. 48th St., in the Civilian Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Carversteak New York City is set to launch this month, according to a Monday announcement by Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality.
The new restaurant marks Carversteak’s first expansion beyond the Strip. As in Vegas, chef Daniel Ontiveros will head the culinary program in New York, sending out Carversteak standards and dishes created for the new restaurant. Francesco Lafranconi, Carver Road’s vice president of beverage and hospitality culture, is leading the wet work, with freezer martinis and cocktails inspired by traditional steakhouse flavors.
News of Carversteak’s New York expansion follows the January debut of Golden Steer Steakhouse on the ground floor of 1 Fifth Ave., one of the most famous residential buildings in the city. Visit carversteaknyc.com.
