Tuscany Suites has never been mistaken for the Morrison Hotel. But a legend who played on the album of that name is headlining that barely off-Strip resort.
Robby Krieger & The Soul Savages are playing The Copa Room at Tuscany 7:30 p.m. on April 24. Psychedelia and melodic vibes will rule the night where “Rat Pack Is Back” is the anchor tenant.
Tuscany GM Grayson McNees is going after a Viper Room-style effect in that room, with a heavy dose of rock acts.
The Doors guitarist is among the biggest stars to play the venue since its rock emphasis started in May. McNees says the 80-year-old Krieger (whose Jan. 8 birthday is the same day as Elvis’) is the first member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to headline the hotel.
Tickets are $40 early bird, or now $45 for GA. Well drinks run $10 to $12, beers (and FizzyWater) $5 to $7, and the parking is … what, kids? Free is what.
