The University of Hawaii men’s volleyball team came back from a disappointing loss by sweep to No. 1-ranked UCLA to beat Lewis in four sets less than 24 hours later on Sunday at Bankoh Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center.
A turnstile crowd of 3,361 saw the No. 3-ranked Warriors (17-3) shake it off against a game Flyers squad (13-9) that was overmatched at key junctures, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.
Adrien Roure had seven of his match-high 15 kills in the final set, including the match-winner.
Kristian Titriyski came off the bench to help ignite UH with 10 of his 14 kills in the pivotal second and third sets, after the Warriors lost the first.
UH’s block improved as the match went along, finishing ahead 11-8.
Daniel Haber led the Flyers with 13 kills and Cameron Hoying added 11.
