A 67-year-old woman was critically injured in a stabbing in Waipahu on Tuesday morning, and a suspect has been arrested, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
Police said officers responded about 9:43 a.m. to a reported stabbing on Kauolu Place, where a 67-year-old female property manager had been stabbed multiple times during an altercation.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital, authorities said.
Investigators said the suspect, a 50-year-old woman, was involved in a physical struggle with the victim when the stabbing occurred. She was identified at the scene and later arrested.
No additional details about what led to the altercation were immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
