Spring begins, and the buns are blooming in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, the second day of spring, Blooming Buns Bakehouse is opening its second shop, this time on South Rainbow Boulevard near West Russell Road. Blooming Buns, known for its brionuts (brioche doughnuts) and embrace of Dubai chocolate, opened its original store in summer 2020 on North Durango Drive in Centennial Hills.
The new bakery is marking its debut from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, with the first 100 customers receiving a free pastry (and the first 10 of those also receiving free classic brionuts for a year). Besides brionuts, the menu features brioche-style beignets, cinnamon rolls, cookiebuns (thick cookies domed like muffin tops), and dessert cups in pudding, tres leches and Dubai chocolate strawberry versions.
