The Super Bowl is Las Vegas’ biggest sporting event, but March Madness isn’t far behind. The big opening weekend of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship is in progress, and the sports books and casino viewing parties will be packed on game days through to the championship game on April 6. The tournament’s Men’s Final Four will be held in Las Vegas in 2028. For now, though, hanging with the raucous crowds in the sports books, where every game will be telecast on the big screens, is the next best thing. In terms of the legal U.S. betting handle, the tournament generates more than $3 billion in wagers, twice the Super Bowl total.

Aria AYCE: The Proper Eats Food Hall at Aria is bringing back the all-you-can-eat deal, which ran during football season, for the March Madness tournament, albeit for $75, up from the previous $59. The deal grants access to all the food outlets (with a $10 up-charge for sushi) for three hours. It will be offered over the tournament’s opening weekend and for the semifinal (April 4) and championship (April 6) games.

Roma’s closing: It’s been reported that Tony Roma’s will close at the Fremont in May. It will be the end of an era for this chain in Nevada, as Fremont is the last location in the state. Another long-closed Tony Roma’s on Sahara is infamous for being where the mobster Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal’s car was blown up, later to become a scene depicted in the movie “Casino.”
