Kiss fans like to paint their faces on their Kiss Kruize adventures at Virgin Hotels. But the band members opt out of the makeup.
Their faces out of the paint, Kiss is back, booked for a pair of unplugged and unmasked shows, at the second Kiss Kruize: Landlocked in Vegas from Nov. 13-15. The fan event’s pre-party is set for Nov. 12 (go to KissOnline.com for intel).
Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer will perform two sets at the Theater at Virgin Hotels (the old Joint at Hard Rock Hotel). Night Ranger is set to perform, contributing 1980s-era rock power to the party.
About 3,000 fans turned out for the inaugural Kiss Kruize in November. In the event’s immediate aftermath, Virgin President Cliff Atkinson anticipated its return,
Also billed for the sequel: A Q&A with band members, a tribute to the late Ace Frehley, members of Slaughter, Faster Pussycat, Keel, the Kuarantine and Rock and Roll Over Kiss tribute bands, radio host and rocker Tommy London and the Las Vegas School of Rock house band.
The whole thing is dubbed the “Kissperience” accordingly.
The Ace Frehley Band headlines the Nov. 12 lead-up event.
Kiss maintains multiple business and artistic interests in Las Vegas. Stanley and Simmons, along with Kiss manager Doc McGhee joined Pophouse Entertainment CEO Jessica Koravos, revealed at the April 14 Pollstar Live! Even their plans to develop their avatar production for 2028 in Las Vegas.
Simmons, forever leading with his tongue, has stamped a $200 million price tag on that adventure.
The band is also in partnership with the Rio at its Kiss by Monster Mini Golf and museum. A Simmons-as-demon golf cart is out front. Take pics, but read the sign: Do not sit on the tongue.
