Marpheen Chann will help make Portland more affordable for its residents

It’s becoming harder to afford a good quality of life in Maine, especially here in Portland, where we shoulder a disproportionate share of the state’s housing and homelessness crises. We need a strong voice on the Cumberland County Commission who will advocate for shared responsibility and regional solutions through collaboration. Portland cannot go it alone.

That is why I support Marpheen Chann’s solutions‑oriented campaign for Cumberland County commissioner.

During my service in the Marine Corps, I learned that missions succeed only when people from different backgrounds align toward a common goal. I know Marpheen will bring that same spirit of collaboration to lowering costs for families in Portland. I want my two children to be able to afford to stay in the city they call home.

Marpheen grew up in Portland and the Sebago Lakes region. He understands that while rural, suburban and urban communities may view issues differently, our underlying goals are often the same and that what matters isn’t where we are from, but the values we share and the future we want to build together. Marpheen is wired to unite people around shared goals.

For Marpheen, regional cooperation isn’t just a talking point. It’s essential to functional local government. Imagine all 28 towns and cities in Cumberland County working together to solve our most pressing issues. That future is within reach with Marpheen Chann.
