Clark County casting teens for production of ‘Camp Rock (The Musical)’

Clark County is looking for youth actors, aspiring actors or any teen singers and dancers who want to be a part of their first-ever production of “Camp Rock (The Musical).”

The casting call is open to youth performers ages 12 to 17, of all skill levels, for the summer debut of the Clark County Youth Theatre program.

The production is a combination of Disney’s two “Camp Rock” films, in which rival bands duke it out. It’s traditionally rated PG and has 15 main roles in one act.

Performers are asked to bring 30 to 60 seconds of a pop or rock song to the audition, as well as a headshot or school photo. Teens will also be asked to cold-read a scene.

Auditions will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 14 at the Silverado Ranch Community Center (9855 Gilespie St.). Performers who make it through the round will be invited back the following day.

If a performer cannot attend in person, the county is accepting self-taped submissions until 5 p.m. May 11. Registration can be completed online at https://bit.ly/4n6ehKy.

Rehearsals will run from May 18 to Aug. 6, with public performances on Aug. 7 and 8.
