Comedian Samantha Bee is breaking the stigma surrounding women’s health in her “How to Survive Menopause” show.

Canadian-American Bee is known for her political commentary focused on feminism, immigration and critiques of the Trump administration. Bee spent 12 years as a correspondent on The Daily Show before transitioning to Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, both masterclasses in political satire. After an extensive career in political comedy and commentary,

Bee is now poking fun at the widespread lack of education about women’s health and menopause, which is neglected by American educators and American healthcare alike. Bee assures that, despite viewing menopause as a “volcanic disruption” in her life, it can be a hot flash of humor.

4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center, 445 S. Magnolia Ave., drphillipscenter.org, $70-$158.
