Alma Argentina will bring empanadas, milanesas and steak to College Park this summer

A restaurant is opening on Edgewater Drive and, slap my noodle, it’s not Italian!

Alma Argentina, the popular Oviedo eatery, will move into the old College Park Diner space this summer — possibly in a month or two — at 2304 Edgewater Drive.

The restaurant opened five years ago on Aloma Avenue and has since been a draw for its milanesa cutlets, empanadas stuffed with a variety of ingredients and, of course, steak.

In 2023, Alma Argentina opened a second location in Celebration, so it’s got a proven track record of mollifying fickle palates.

College Park Diner permanently closed last June following health code violations.

This move will effectively restrict how long the Orange County Jail can detain people on behalf of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
