Obituary: Ernest Anthony Lesage, 1955-2026

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ernest Anthony Lesage, 70, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Winooski, Vt., on Friday, April 17, 2026, following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Ernest and Albertine Lesage and was born in Burlington, Vt., on December 14, 1955.

Ernest (Ernie), grew up in Winooski, Vt., and later moved to Fairfield, Vt. He was a graduate of Rice Memorial High School and attended trade schools for electrical engineering. He worked as a longtime master electrician for several companies all the way up to his retirement.

Upon his retirement, he spent some time in North Carolina before finally settling in Winter Haven, Fla. He had several hobbies that included hunting, fishing, and donating to several charities that he held dear to his beliefs and personal faith. When he was able, he lent his time to helping out family, friends and coworkers alike and will be missed by all.

His loss is being felt deeply by his surviving family members, including his sister Blanche Boissy, sister Virginia Lesage, brother and sister-in-law Andrew and Sandy Lesage, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Robert Mcgonis, sister Marie Lesage, sister-in-law Stephanie Lesage, brother-in-law Gerry Martel, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Richard and Peter and sisters Pauline and Bernadette

A mass will be held on June 6, 2026, 10:30 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski, Vt.
