The state Health Department has issued Grace’s Inn a red placard, immediately shuttering it due to a sewage backup in the kitchen.
The food establishment, operated by Grace’s Inn LSY LLC, is at 1296 S. Beretania St., Suite 101, in Honolulu. It offers a wide array of plate lunches, along with burgers, sandwiches, and saimin.
A health inspector noted during a follow-up inspection today that the plumbing system was in disrepair, and observed raw sewage backed up onto the floor of the kitchen.
The Hawaii Department of Health is requiring the restaurant have a licensed plumber properly assess and repair its plumbing system before it can reopen.
Grace’s Inn is to remain closed until all critical violations are resolved, and cleared by another follow-up inspection.
