Dungeon synth maestros Flickers From the Fen and Apoxupon get medieval in Orlando

On the heels of the second successful iteration of the Florida Dungeon Fest and a command performance by Mortiis and Wraith Knight both earlier this year, a brotherhood of dungeon-dwellers and keyboard mages from around the world converge on Will’s.

Courtesy of Spark Booking and Texas Dungeon Siege, you’ve got a chainmail’d and cobweb’d bill featuring England’s Flickers From the Fen, Apoxupon from Texas, and locals (for real) Lord Arioch, Vorlauf and Discalced Carmelite.

Dungeon synth, a purposely lo-fi and darkly dramatic hybrid of medieval music and dark ambient, is really emerging as a potent live force despite its more cryptic origins. Flickers From the Fen playing in Orlando is a big deal and this is the only Florida date, so hie thee to the gig, you varlet.
