International juice bar with rabid fan base opens in Winter Park

ORLANDO RESTAURANT OPENINGS:

Joe & The Juice, the Danish coffee and juice chain, opens June 13 in the old Doshi space at 1040 N. Orlando Ave. in Winter Park. In addition to coffee and fresh juice, smoothies, sandwiches and breakfast bowls will also be offered. Look for another Joe & The Juice to open this winter in Waterford Lakes. Folks seem to go crazy for their grilled sandwiches — we’ll check in and see what the fuss is about soon.

Southern Fowl and its menu of comforting Dixie delectables by Va Propst will soft-open June 16 in the old Graffiti Junktion space at 4544 Curry Ford Road. Expect scratch-made buttermilk fried chicken, meatloaf, burgers and bread pudding. The original location at the Marketplace at Avalon Park will be rebranded as an “express” operation

Chuanlu Garden Clay Pot Kitchen has opened in the old Chili Star space at 5062 W. Colonial Drive. The restaurant is by Leon Liu, the original owner of Chuan Lu Garden in Mills 50.

Over in MetroWest, Ceviche Arigato, a Nikkei restaurant with locations in Weston and West Palm Beach, will serve its brand of Peruvian-Japanese cuisine in the Kirkman Shoppes at 4732 S. Kirkman Road. No word on when, though.

Look for Cañonita, a Tavistock-backed Mexican restaurant, to open later this year in a 9,321-square-foot space at 5947 Lake Nona Blvd. There’s currently a Cañonita Street Taqueria operating inside Tavistock-owned Boxi Park in Lake Nona.

Flavors of Jamaica, with locations in Kissimmee and Ocoee, has opened its third location inside the former Aardvark space at 2610 S. Ferncreek Ave. in SoDo.

Rolled ice cream shop Scoop & Shake has opened in the old I-CE NY space at 4954 New Broad St. in Baldwin Park.

Yuji Sushi, featuring AYCE sushi and Asian cuisine, has opened in the old Oyishi Japanese Steakhouse space at 1275 Oviedo Mall Blvd. at, yep, the Oviedo Mall.
