Gwen Stefani calls Olivia Rodrigo to the stage in No Doubt finale

The person holding an, “I’m just a girl who wants the last hug at the last Sphere show,” at No Doubt’s show Saturday night who looked like Olivia Rodrigo, was.

Gwen Stefani spotted the pop star near the front (apparently with no heads up she would be in the crowd). The No Doubt co-founder brought Rodrigo to the stage for “Just a Girl.”

Stefani summoned audience members to the stage throughout the 18-show run. But Sunday was the first time the fan has been a famous recording artist.

Coincidentally, or not, Rodrigo’s latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” dropped Friday.

Rodrigo wore a black-and-white striped skirt, lemon-yellow No Doubt concert T-shirt and ball cap. She shouted, “No Doubt is the best band in the world!”

Rodrigo has covered “Just a Girl” in her touring shows, including her show at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in May 2022. Rodrigo’s “The Unraveled Tour” plays Dec. 19-20 at T-Mobile Arena.

The band’s Sphere series was its their first full run of shows in 14 years. They also played a reunion set at Coachella in 2024.

The residency was a hit at the box office, no doubt. The shows sold an average 16,290 tickets per night over their first nine shows. The band’s gross of $3.6 million per show, through the first half of its run, is fourth highest among acts who have headlined Sphere.

U2 tops the list with a $6.1 million gross-per-show average over 40 concerts. The Eagles have grossed $4.9 million over 58 shows, followed by Dead & Company’s $4.3 million from 48 shows. If you caught a Nerf-like No Doubt orange dropped into the crowd, keep it. Olivia would.
