Chesney sets up cool hangs for No Shoes Nation

Headliners at Sphere are in an unofficial competition (which we have created) for the best fan experience. Kenny Chesney seems he won’t be outdone.

Chesney’s first show in his nine-show run is Friday. The country superstar and leader of No Shoes Nation has added a very vibe room to his Sphere residency. That’s what it’s called, actually, the “Very Vibe Room,” a new lounge-like hang at the former Lagasse Stadium at Palazzo.

The space is “designed to capture the energy of Kenny’s infamous backstage hangs while on tour.”

We are pro-infamous. This should be a cool hang. The venue is an exclusive VIP amenity for Vibee package holders. Also included: Bar service, games and a SiriusXM No Shoes Radio Lounge, among other themed adventures.

Returning is the fan-favorite “Guitars, Tiki Bars, and A Whole Lotta Love” space. features a merch store, tiki bar and photo ops. This destination was a big hit in Chesney’s original run last year. It is free and open to the public.

It’s Gaughan!

That’s a play off Murray Sawchuck’s catch phrase (and his personalized license plate). Funny, if you get it.

The popular Vegas magician is playing his first ticketed shows at Michael Gaughan’s South Point Showroom, 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Sawchuck has used the room for his concert special, but this is the first, as we say, “proper” show.

Dani Elizabeth is Sawchuck’s spouse and also sidekick. Accomplished showgirl, magician and comic. And, look for the return to the stage of the terrific hosting tandem of Zion and Poppy Martin, late of “Rouge” at the Strat. The couple left that show June 7 to add to their family. Their second child is due Oct. 14. The performers signed a contact stipulating they would end their run if they had another baby, which they did, and are.

Heads up for this …

Jen Romas’s “Sexxy” has been extended “indefinitely” at Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce. The show was originally scheduled to end its limited run Wednesday. But Romas announced on the socials the adult revue’s gig is now ongoing. This is a positive sign for the club’s viability.

Vegas ‘AGT’ action

Look out for Mackenzie Sol, based in Las Vegas, on Tuesday’s audition episode of “America’s Got Talent” at 8 p.m. Tuesday on NBC. Sol has performed at Easy’s Cocktail Room at Aria.

Originally from Newcastle, England, Sol first faced Simon Cowell and the judges at age 4 during “X Factor” in the U.K. He aced the performance, but couldn’t advance because he was under the required age limit of 16. Cowell joked he would see Sol again in 12 years.

It took 21 years, but Sol has another shot next week in a (really big) full-circle moment.

Cool Hang Alert

Christi Lynn’s “A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock N Roll” show is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at The Composers room at Historic Commercial Center. Chris Morgan, Rick Parma and Cha Cha Figueroa are the featured singers. The band kills with Denny Mishler, JIm Presley, Cdal Styles, Mike Smart and Kelly Kennedy. Lynn has range and can just belt it. Go to thecomposersroom.com for intel.
