Come Out With Pride is celebrating both Pride and Juneteenth this weekend. Love & Liberation: A Boldly Unapologetic Juneteenth Pride Celebration is a free community event noting intersections of the important history of Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, with the spirit of Pride.
Expect your classic Juneteenth BBQ with a queer twist: drag performances (including Black Majix Royal), a ballroom showcase, a queer-owned business marketplace and performances by “extraterrestrial” band Soul Pop.
