Maxan Jazz might not be your first guess if I said there’s a local venue hosting an “America’s Got Talent” champion as an incoming headliner.
But the supper club, which features a consistently strong entertainment lineup and yummy sushi, hosts Michael Grimm on Saturday. The Season 5 (2010) “AGT” champ’s “Nobody” show features Grimm alongside talented vets Bill Zappia on keys and Jimmy Tripi on guitar.
Blues are the musical order; the miso black cod is a solid order from the menu.
On Sunday, busy young showman Patrick Hogan headlines Maxan. Yet another master drummer, Jess Gopen, is up Monday. The venue is dark Tuesdays, but you can’t go wrong otherwise.
