A 20-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a family member in a Waianae home during an argument Thursday was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, police said today.
The incident was not reported until Friday, according to a Honolulu Police Department summary. The 69-year-old victim had been taken to a hospital and later released, police said.
HPD did not disclose the extent of the man’s injuries or his relationship to the suspect.
At 9:13 p.m. Friday, patrol officers found the suspect in Maili and arrested him without incident, police said. He remained in custody today.
