The Casco Bay Bridge will be opened twice a day for inspections Monday through Friday, briefly halting traffic between South Portland and Portland.
The openings of the bridge over the Fore River will occur once in the mid- to late-morning and once in the early to midafternoon and should only last a few moments, the Maine Department of Transportation announced Monday.
The inspection openings are not expected to happen more than twice per day and won’t last more than a few minutes, the department said.
