Blues Traveler to play Durango’s Bel-Aire Backyard “Pool Concert Series” on Oct. 11

Blues Traveler this fall is the call at Durango’s ongoing pool party.

John Popper’s harmonica-powered, jam-rock band plays the resort’s Bel-Aire Backyard “Pool Concert Series” on Oct. 11. The ongoing shows at the 1,600-capacity pool deck are presented by Clique Hospitality and AEG Presents Las Vegas. The show is at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $69.17; information and tickets for all shows are at belairebackyardlv.com.

Blues Traveler achieved international fame behind its six-time platinum album “Four” in 1994. “Run-Around” was a constant radio play and won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal. Overall, Popper’s outfit has released 14 studio albums, sold more than 10 million records and performed over 2,000 live shows.

In its second year, Durango’s pool series has bolstered its schedule while reaching locals with comparative value and free parking at the property. The party runs through mid-October.

Blues Traveler joins such headliners as Connor Price and Nic D on Sunday; One Night of Queen: A Tribute performed by Gary Mullen and the Works on July 24; Pepper and The Movement with special guest Joe Samba on Aug. 20; Sevendust and Theory of a Deadman on Sept. 18; and Switchfoot with special guest Anberlin on Oct. 17.

The pool shows premiered in 2025, returning this past April with “American Idol” Season 10 champ Scotty McCreery headlining.

“This series brings Las Vegas Strip-caliber artists to the local market,” Clique Hospitality founder Andy Masi said in the release announcing the series’ return. “We’re delivering live music in a setting that is comfortable, intimate and approachable, where guests can park for free, avoid the Strip crowds and still feel like they are getting a world-class experience.”

Blues Traveler has headlined at various Las Vegas venues over the years, including a co-headlining show with Gin Blossoms last August at The Sandbar at Red Rock Resorts. The harmonica-packing Hopper and his lineup also played six shows at the former Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace (Caspian’s today) in February-March 2017, and also helped christen the Sand Dollar Downtown at Plaza (now home of Hogs & Heifers) in May 2022.
