Watch out for the slaying heavy-metal onslaught of Nemophila at Orlando’s Conduit

Almost nothing is fetishized quite like the Asian woman as a delicate and submissive trope. The truth, of course, is more nuanced. And most Asian women I know — especially the one who raised me — would say “fuck that.”

Count Japanese band Nemophila — who follow their young fresh faces with a slaying heavy-metal onslaught — among this defiant latter group. Whether or not they’d actually say that, their dazzlingly technical, boss-ass playing says it all. Come, be awed and kneel before Nemophila.
